I get to work with Women's Cross Country, Water Polo, Wrestling, and Women's Track & Field. Work is fun for the most part; I've finished most of the paperwork that I will do for the year so there's a plus. I don't really do much during the day which is kind of a good/bad thing. I sit around waiting for pre and post practice treatments. Can't really watch cross country practice, and typically when water polo is practicing I have some people trickling in here and there for some rehab. It would be awesome to get paid more, but thats not going to happen unless I take a full time position where school takes the back seat to everything.
School is another thing all together. It's been going pretty good for now. I'm trying to feel out the timing for getting all the reading done; A lot of reading! Some days suck with school when we have to be in work early and then be at school till like 10p. There's really only 1 class that I can say I've had fun in, or really was engaged the whole class. All of the professors are fun, but sometimes the information is jut boring.

We have the morning off until 1 or 1:30 depending on if we have class or not. I really need to start getting my homework done quicker and start putting things together so I can use that morning time to workout. I haven't run all that much lately because of pain, but when I am running I've posted PR's for that course. I've got time to do things today, so I actually get to go run, workout, and get some homework done.

There's an 80's party tonight too! Working with a friend from school, so it should be a fun time! When I get back I have a day to chill, then I'm off to Champ camp. I think I'm going to be a Hopkins for that one.
Kinda out of shape. Didn't do much of anything for 2 weeks, and finally found my stretch strap! Played soccer and hockey last night and for the first time in a while my legs were tired while playing hockey. BOOO.

But yeah! I've come to the realization that I live way to far away from FL. There is so much fun stuff always going on down there, and I'm stuck here in MD for now. The next day Sean, Charlene, Jordan, and I went to Universal Studios Islands of Adventure for, well..and ADVENTURE! (no, Harry Potter was not open, go away). Sunday, we had a cookout and pool party at Sean & Charlene's place. Good day to sit around and relax.
During the week Sean & Charlene had to work :( Monday I played Tetris Party in the morning and watched some Archer before Sean came and picked up Jordan and I for lunch @ Panera. Jordan left with Charlene for the airport after lunch :( But, I hung out with Mochi until it was time to go to the rental car place. We made dinner with chicken, rice, and general tso sauce (Think general tso has a daughter?)

I got a Nissan Versa as a car. It was pretty nice, roomy, and HAD A/C! Though, it could use some improvement (it is a Nissan >.<). Tuesday I explored around the Waterford Lakes shopping center. It's pretty cool they (Sean/Charlene) live so close to a big shopping center. I met Sean for lunch at Pei Wei (drooool). We went to Friendly Confines for dinner with Darrin & KJ. The wings there are really good, you can mix sauces and make your own creation!

Wednesday I explored farther out; Mall at Millenia, Prime Outlets, Festival Bay Mall, the Premier Outlets, and some of Downtown Disney (Lego Store!). I bought a belt from Tilley's; which we apparently have in Annapolis; and then got a Squirt key chain from Disney. I grabbed me a grilled stuffed burrito from Taco bell, and a chalupa for lunch. When I got home we all went for a run (3 miles) which I hit 20:07 mins. Then I played some Racquetball with Darrin and Ryan. I made myself some soup when I got home for dinner.

Thursday I went out to Wekiva Springs on a tip from Darrin saying that it would probably be fun. I planned to go out there and kayak, but when I got there all the singles kayaks were rented >..>

Friday I kinda explored a little more around the area that Sean & Charlene live. I got myself a haircut, and then I had Jimmy John's subs for lunch (it was alright). When Sean came home we met up with Charlene at the rental car place (bye bye car), and she had Chipotle! We went to Disney Quest (huge 5 floor arcade!) in Downtown Disney. We stayed there pretty much until they closed.

Saturday we woke up semi early and got our packets for Expedition Everest Challenge! We relaxed most of the day and got Subway for lunch. The race started at 8:30 at night. It was a 5k/obstacle course (kinda weak obstacles), and then a scavenger hunt. The race was a lot of fun and there was an after party where some of the rides were open. I placed 10 out of 113; though 3rd in just 5k time (not all that happy with that). Sean & Charlene placed 117 our of 695 coed teams! We've already planned to make this an event we attend annually, so next year we have an idea of what to do and we all will do much better!

Sunday we went out to Epcot, and did some rides. We also met up with one of Sean & Charlene's friends who was Donald that day (Awesome Donald!). Then we ate lunch at Germany's Biergarten, checked out some shops in Japan & China, and went to Mexico for some shots before they had to get me to the airport. The bartender in Mexico was giving us samples of the different margaritas they make (Avacado was awesome), and Sean and I got a Flight of Liquor (Patron Cafe was good).

I have a 5k race next Wednesday morning at the NATA convention in Philly. I'm planning to go down to FL the week before the race to visit some family, and then come back the day after. I have about 2 weeks before I'm scheduled to leave, It's exciting! Recently we've adapted a jeep for towing the sailboat since the trucks breaks are dying. Ive taken it out once so far, and am planning to go out tomorrow on it!
Pies! Well, I wanted to make a pie last week, so I made a blueberry one. It was pretty good, so I just finished making a peanut butter chocolate pie. Then tomorrow or the next day I am going to make an apple pie. I'm not sure why, but Ive been in pie mood for a while.
Other than that, the graphics card on my desktop computer died recently. Not too happy about that; especially because I wont have the money to fix it for a while.

News!

I've finished up my stint at Friends School of Baltimore! Now I am picking up coverages for events as they come to me. Also, I'm trying to get into a clinic so I can stay connected with some people for after grad school. I have been accepted into Towson Universities Masters of Health Science program, and I am ready to go for the fall semester.

Other than than, I GOT NEW SHOES TODAY! I got a pair of Asics GT-2140's. They are very comfortable, and since I've started running more It was definitely time to get a new pair (old ones were gorilla glued together). I've been working out with some close friends, and I've almost got my 8pack abs back.
I've started the 3rd book to "The Legend of Drizzt" Series by R.A. I'm now working as an Athletic Trainer and CPR Instructor at Friends School of Baltimore. Until when, we're still trying to figure that whole dilly out. For now, its nice to be making money!
So I recently put the new computer together, and its running great! Been catching up on the games I haven't played in a while as well as a bunch of new ones.

Bioshock 2 was amazing! It was a little short though; 16 hrs total single player mode for me. The multiplayer leaves some to be desired. First off the graphics in the game are really good, and they tried to translate that into online play. It worked, though the lag it produces is unbearable; easy fix, turn down the gfx some. That works a little bit for the lag, though the online play is still jumpy. The level up system is similar to COD; where there are ranks and each rank you get new items/abilities and challenges. Its fun to play for a little bit at a time, but It would have been nice if the singleplayer was longer.

Left 4 Dead 2 is very fun so far. Ive been playing through the campaign with some friends, and we're having a blast with the new weapons; especially melee. The addition of the new special infected is a good add, but I also like that for each level there are *special* common infected (mudmen in the swamp). I do however HATE the jockeys. These little shits just come and ride you into witches left and right!

Altitude is a fun game for when your trying to just chill. Has a similar level up system to COD, and feels casual most of the time. The game is very simple, but it gets INTENSE. Playing "ball" flying around shooting down other planes, and passing the ball quickly takes a good amount of teamwork when the teams are balanced.

Thats it for today. The weather is getting warmer, so I will soon be getting out to go sailing and surfing!

Computer Parts

Well, its time to fix my desktop. I took it to have the hardware diagnosed, and they just confirmed what I thought (free of charge!). I've ordered a new motherboard and I had to get some new ram to go with it. This case surprised me when it arrived. I originally thought it was a snap on plastic case. It is a thin slip on plastic case. If you're looking for a rough and tough case to protect your iPod from drops and being thrown around, this case is not for you. This case is meant to protect the ipod from scratches, and minor drops/carrying around. The case has open access to the headphone port, hold button, and the connection port for charging. Since the case is a "sleeve" type, the screen and scroll wheel area are a clear plastic, whereas everywhere else is the chosen color. The case allows full use to the scroll wheel. When the case is applied there may be some sticking to the screen, however that will resolve itself when the case gets a bit worn in.
I've taken some pictures of the "Cool Blue Shade" for the 2009 iPod classic.

These are the pictures that aren't shown anywhere on the site, and should be seen before considering the case.

<img style="cursor: pointer; Family was planned to go down to Salisbury for the graduation, then SNOWSTORM! Well, a good amount of my family made it down...then the day of graduation they cancel the ceremony. That's great planning; cancel the day of, because people that come from out of town can get here the day before and waste a trip.
We had our own ceremony at Carrabbas, then drank and watched movies.

I've been chilling at home the past few days, and getting ready for the holidays. Waiting for a contact from a couple of job opportunities for the spring. I'm hoping one in particular wants to interview me. I was able to travel on the Caps trip to NJ/NY; it was eventful to say the least. We landed in NJ and went out to their rink to unpack the gear. Practice/game the next day, then we went out to the bar for a little bit where one of the guys knew a bartender. Next day we had off, and there was a bowling trip for the team. It was a good amount of fun, stayed there pretty much all day, then came home. Practice the next day, and game day after that. This is probably the quickest explanation of the trip that I could give.

Well, now we are back and I have a cold. I am trying to get over it as quickly as possible. I am off tomorrow and will be working on my case study presentation most of the day. I only have a couple more weeks with the Caps, and then I'm not too sure whats going to happen. I have an interview I need to schedule for after the winter holidays, and I am waiting on other places to get back with me. Also, I am planning a snowboard trip for after new years.

And that's it for now.

Create the brand

I took my certification exam yesterday! I feel good about the test and think I did well. Now all there is to do it wait for the results. All my school work is completed except for putting all my information for my final case study presentation on my PowerPoint slides, and making the mock script I will use for that. I'm ready to graduate and I have the wheels turning on some potential positions. I am also looking into creating something big with one of my friends; Details at 11.

11:00
Welcome back! I know pretty much no one reads this, it's more or less for me.
My friend Pam & I are going to start talking about starting a company. The idea for this company came from looking around while I was back home in Joppa, and bullshitting.

Do you know how when spring rolls around you start seeing people swarm the gym trying to get ready for summer and get a "beach body"? Well, with winter coming up & daylight savings now in effect people in general get a little bit more laid back and lazy. Add in the holidays (Thanksgiving + Christmas + etc), and there's a recipe for disaster so to speak. So I thought, "Why doesn't anyone advertise with this angle and start helping people during the winter?"
I am starting formulate a plan to form a company for:

Personal Training (general population + populations at risk for health related concern)

Sports Specific Training (training regimen for athletes; sport specific, and multi-sport)

People who read this are probably thinking "Oh no, not another one of these", or "There's no way this will launch." First and foremost benefiting the customer/consumer is my main thought behind this spark. There are plenty of places out there who offer similar services, however If you've seen the places and spoke with the personal trainers and staff it feels as though they are just trying to get you to buy into the company and are not actually concerned with the person. True, every personal trainer wants to get customers and help them "become fit". What we will be offering is an investment in a persons life, health care, wellness, & personal fitness.

One key difference between the staffing I will be looking into is the majority of the staff will be Certified Athletic Trainers (ATC), and Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialists (CSCS). There will be Certified Personal Trainers (CPT), but since the education level of most CPT's is not as advanced as an ATC or CSCS there will be more opportunities for persons holding a more advanced education.*

*In no way is this statement meant to demean or attack the profession of personal training, or the certifcation of personal training.

One Week!

Ok, there is one week until I take my BOC exam. I need to keep up with my cardio since I am gaining muscle, but I don't wanna get fat ^_^ . Taking the weekend off from lifting mainly because I have a soft "lump" in my left armpit that is painful. I've finished watching Blassreiter on crunchyroll, and I've downloaded and finished watching Pandora Hearts. They are both good, Blassreiter is about some people infected by nanobots, and they transform into different beings and go insane (pretty good!). Pandora Hearts kinda comes off like Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles where there are people searching for one thing, but it throws in some Alice in Wonderland with a little hint of Bleach (dolls). Overall, both were very good; Pandora Hearts was better than Blassreiter in my opinion. Next I am going to go back through all the Tsubasa episodes and finally finish the seasons I have.

Now internship stuff! I've finished all my papers for my class, and all I have left is a case study! I'm working on getting that done early, and that's all about that, heh. The days are going by quickly now since we are having a lot more games closer together. I'm still having a lot of fun, and working on applications for jobs (real life, scary man). I'm finally gaining some weight from the combination of my workouts, and eating a lot more. Soon I hope I can have someone give me a skin fold reference for this fall.

Other than that, I am going down to Salisbury Tomorrow and Wednesday to order my graduation stuff, and pickup some letters of recommendation.
I changed up my background and desktop layout on my computer, and here it is!

That's it for the update, see ya!

Crunchyroll!

Well, I've finished watching most of the anime that I have on discs, so I got back on crunchyroll to search what they have. ( http://www.crunchyroll.com/user/jokeremishi )

I have about 4 series on my computer at home, but I am going to have to wait to watch those. I'm looking into buying an external hard drive that way I can have somewhere to store my anime, and make it easily transportable. I started watching Blassreiter on crunchyroll, and I watched a couple of episodes of Air Master. Blassreiter is really good, Air Master is so-so. Probably wont watch Air Master anymore, but it all depends if i find more to watch. I like the fact that crunchyroll lets you make lists of what you've watched or are watching, so it's really easy to stay on track.

This week will be less stressful since there is practice and then an away game I'm not going to. Hopefully will finish out all my work and send out applications for some jobs.

That's all for now!

End of Preseason

Well, it's been a little hectic with all the players we've had the past few weeks, but preseason is almost over. I got to travel around with the team during preseason, we went to Buffalo NY, Chicago IL, and New York NY. These first games getting a small taste for what it's like working with a professional hockey team has been a lot of fun. That is really all I've been doing the past few weeks. I haven't had much time to update here or even get on my computer.

I actually had a problem with my computer, where the screen was supposed to be black it was green. I called support and they had me reseat my gfx card, which didn't work. I already had an idea that the LCD cable inside the hinge of the laptop was loose or something. When I called today, they gave me the instructions to reseat that wire, and it worked! Laptop is back to normal!

Since today is a day off, I've been running around doing errands this morning. I fixed my computer (yay!), worked out, and got a haircut. Now I am going to finish tidying up my room, change my sheets, then work on finishing some papers early, and then apply for some jobs. Probably will get on some games too, since its been a while, heh.

Camp

Rookie camp is over and tomorrow will be the 3rd day of the regular training camp. Its been pretty fun so far, just being around hockey all the time. I've been meeting staff and affiliates from the Capitals farm teams, and everyone is pretty much ready for camp to be over.

I am going to have to start studying a little more soon, however I like not always being busy with class and actually having time to do things I want to. I am working out every day now, and playing hockey at least once a week. I will be back in shape fairly soon, and I will be working on putting on some muscle.

I have 3 more papers left for school, and then a case study to do. I should have one paper done hopefully by the end of this week (If i get motivated to work on it). The other 2 I will most likely have done by the end of the next week. Getting all my work done early will give me more time to just mess around and have fun while I'm working.
That's all for now!

Getting Underway

So, I forgot to update last week, so I'm going to do a big update on the last couple weeks!
OK, so I started with the Caps Tuesday the 24th. Don't really have much to say about that, other than its pretty fun right now. We haven't had much to do just getting everything ready for camp to start. I've had the last weekend off; which I went home for that weekend, and played some hockey with the Danglers (2 goals 1 assist - boom boom POW). This weekend now, I was off Friday and today, so I left Thursday when we got out to go visit people at Salisbury. Brew River Thursdays are in effect, enough said there. Got some good workouts in with some of the hockey guys. We went to pickup today at Harrington, where I borrowed a pair of skates and some sticks from people. I actually broke one of the guys sticks just warming up, so I had to get him a new one, heh.

Right now I'm finishing updating my Ipod with more playlists so I have some variety on the Metro. Bed time is right after that finishes since we have physicals for camp tomorrow.
It's time to do the damn thing, get it!

Starting...maybe?

Alright! So, I'm back in DC and I found a strong Internet signal as long as I'm in a certain area of the house. Supposed to be starting tomorrow with the Caps, lets hope it happens this time. It was a long week off, but I did get a lot done in Guild Wars. I'm ready to start tomorrow, I just really want to get back to doing something. I love having time to play games and do whatever, but I don't want to do that every single day. I have a paper due Friday that I'm just about finished, and then I'm going to be a week behind on all the assignments. Trying to get them all done on time will really depend on if the people I'm working for can find the activities for me to do, and them smash a paper out on it.

For now, see ya!

Change in plans

Well, Saturday I moved into my place at DC. I have yet to decide what I will get, but I will figure it out probably by the end of this week.
I have a hockey game tomorrow night at 8:30, and after that it's off to Salisbury to get my Professional Rescuer certification renewed for this next year. We went out today and bought a desk and a dresser. I took a bookshelf we had lying around and re-finished it, and I have a couple of lamps and rugs I will be taking with me. There is already a bed there, so I'm pretty much set to move on in down there. All I need to do is pack clothes once I get to that point. As of now my plan is to not take my desktop down there with me; I'm unsure of how much down time I will get, but I do know that in my down time I need to work on papers and whatnot. I will be brining my laptop, however what games I will be putting on there has yet to be decided. I have Company of Heroes Gold Edition, however that tends to like to start skipping for some reason, so I removed it. Im not sure if anyone reads this just yet, but any suggestions for games are welcome!

Page updates: Finally fixed the banner, moved the music to the sidebar (the box looks all F'ed up though)

Update

I have been picked up by an adult league hockey team for the A/B league at Ice World in Aberdeen, MD.
